I know I didn’t – when I started working in healthcare and got my first grown-up job in the hospital, I knew I was supposed to be saving and it was smart to save, but I had no idea where to put my money or how to choose what plan was BEST. 401K, 403B, 457, traditional IRA, Roth IRA…all of that sounded intimidating and too complex for me so I just did what “they” told me to. 

It wasn’t until recently going through Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University Program that I learned the  #1 tool to build wealth is your 401K – I was BLOWN away to learn when you invest 15% of your income every month you can become an everyday MILLIONAIRE!! A study was done of over 10K millionaires and the # 1 tool they used to build wealth was their 401K (insert mind blown emoji). The key is to invest CONSISTENTLY over time.
